L’Alimenti è infatti intieramente libero da preconcetti tecnici o da cointeressenze finanziarie che possano, sia pure indirettamente, influire sul suo giudizio; dedica, inoltre, da lunghi anni la sua attività di uomo di studio ai problemi dei carburanti nel cui campo ha acquisito oramai chiara notorietà.

L’Alimenti è infatti intieramente libero da preconcetti tecnici o da cointeressenze finanziarie che possano, sia pure indirettamente, influire sul suo giudizio; dedica, inoltre, da lunghi anni la sua attività di uomo di studio ai problemi dei carburanti nel cui campo ha acquisito oramai chiara notorietà.
Non si può quindi disconoscere la importanza di questa opera meditata e scritta nel sereno esame degli innumerevoli aspetti e problemi del petrolio. Essa segue, a distanza di circa due anni, quella sulla Questione Petrolifera Italiana, ma ha una visione molto più vasta e completa e, direi quasi, più organica, perchè inquadra il nostro problema nella situazione mondiale, pone gli elementi per le più documentate considerazioni e disvela senza reticenza alcuna le situazioni reali in tutti i paesi del mondo.
Potremmo, analizzando il contenuto del volume, ritrovare infiniti argomenti favorevoli a quanto, sulle linee maestre tracciate dal Duce, da tempo andiamo affermando sulla necessità di una indipendenza nazionale nel settore dei carburanti più ampia possibile.
Ma le conclusioni stesse del volume dell’Alimenti sfociano inevitabilmente nella urgenza di risolvere il nostro problema autarchico che appare così — non come tendenziosa premessa — bensì quale conclusione di quanto in precedenza si è obbiettivamente analizzato.
